Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: September 3, 2026

This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to every person who signs in to EduViola, and to the organization whose workspace they are in.

1. What the platform is for

EduViola exists so that an organization can train its own people, and so that an organization which owns course material can license that material to others. Use it for that.

2. Accounts and seats

• Do not share your credentials, and do not let anyone else use your account. A seat belongs to one person.

• Do not create accounts to work around a seat limit, and do not recycle one person's account for another person in order to avoid consuming a seat. If you need more seats, ask the organization that granted the licence.

• Administrators: invite only people your organization is entitled to enrol, and remove access when somebody leaves.

3. Other organizations' course material

• Course material belongs to the organization that created it. A licence lets you teach it to your own people for the licence period; it does not let you copy, republish, resell, adapt or extract it.

• Do not download course attachments in order to build a copy of a course elsewhere, and do not redistribute them outside your organization.

• Do not scrape the platform or use automated tools to bulk-download material or records.

4. Other organizations' people

• Do not attempt to reach data belonging to another organization, whether by guessing addresses, altering identifiers in a request, or any other means.

• Do not probe, scan or test the platform's security without our written permission. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, tell us at admin@eduviola.com and give us a reasonable chance to fix it before telling anyone else.

5. Assessments and credentials

• Do not sit an assessment on somebody else's behalf, and do not let anybody sit one on yours.

• Do not publish answer keys or exam content, and do not alter or forge a certificate or a verification code. Certificates are checkable by third parties, and a forged one is a misrepresentation to whoever relies on it.

6. Files you upload

Authors can attach files to a lesson, and everybody can set an avatar. For those:

• Upload only material your organization has the right to distribute.

• Do not upload malware, or anything unlawful, or anything designed to attack whoever opens it.

• Do not put personal data into course attachments that the learners taking the course have no reason to see — an attachment is visible to everybody assigned the lesson.

• Do not upload health, biometric or other special-category personal data. The platform is not built to hold it.

We do not screen or moderate uploaded files. There is no automated moderation and no review queue, so the organization that uploads a file is responsible for it. We can remove a file when it is reported to us, and the organization that owns it can remove it at any time — but a file that has already been downloaded cannot be recalled by anyone.

7. The service itself

• Do not interfere with the platform's operation, overload it deliberately, or work around its rate limits.

• Do not use EduViola to send unsolicited mail. Invitations are for people your organization is actually enrolling.

• Do not use the platform to break the law.

8. If something goes wrong

Report a problem, a file that should not be there, or anything that looks like a breach to admin@eduviola.com. We read that address and we will act on what you tell us. We do not promise a fixed response time, and we would rather say so than publish one we have not committed to.

9. Consequences

We may remove content, suspend an account, or suspend an organization's access where this policy is breached — immediately, where that is needed to protect the platform, another customer or someone's safety. We will tell the affected organization what happened and why. Serious or repeated breaches can end the agreement under our Terms of Service.

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
